This is a place to be organised and calm
When we kept everything on paper, organised people had these things called filing cabinets. They stored all of their documents in them in a structured way so that they could find them again.
Now, your computer lets you put anything anywhere you want. You're expected to manage vastly more information than was ever stored on paper. And you do this yourself, without any training or support.
Nobody can find anything any more. This is stressful, and a massive waste of time. Here at Johnny.Decimal we've been helping people organise information since 2013. We're here to help. Welcome.
A focus on small business
In 2026 we decided to focus our efforts on helping small businesses. We run one ourselves, and we know how tough it is. You're trying to sell the thing you're good at, but there's this massive overhead: all the stuff a large organisation hires an Operations Manager to do, at $120k/year.
Our job is to make this as easy as possible for you. We produce tools, systems, training, and provide a high-touch support community. While we can't actually file your taxes for you, we can remove much of the stress.

It works everywhere
You might not run an actual 'small business'. You might be the person at work who wants to be more organised; who wants to get ahead. We think of you as a 'business of one' within your organisation. You'll fit in here.
And it works just as well at home, if you're keen. Or at that community club you help run, or at the local school, or pretty much anywhere else.
A personal business
Johnny.Decimal is me, Johnny, and my partner Lucy. After running this website as a hobby for a decade, we realised that it needed our full attention. We quit our jobs, and since 2023 we have both worked full time making stuff that helps people to be more organised.
We do this all by hand. All of our products are made with hundreds of hours of human effort. I answer every message personally and know hundreds of members of our community. This is our life and it shows.
