10-19 Business administration could be the foundation of
any business, regardless of its product or service. Its pre-made IDs
cover hiring and training staff, managing your business premises, back
and front office operations, vehicles, money, computers and data backups,
travel, and much more.
20-29 and 30-39 are what you sell, how you sell
it, and who to. That's why there are no pre-made IDs: everybody's will be
different. What you sell is yours, so you create your own IDs as you
need them.
40-49 stores your creative assets. And
W0000-9999 is a place to do any type of project work,
creative or otherwise, related to the running of your business.
You get a searchable index with 50,000 words of description and examples. The manual lists every category and ID, what might go in them, and any exceptions we could think of. We also wrote some 'ops manuals' to help with processing finances, managing backups, and passwords. A folder structure and text files to create your JDex. And dedicated community channels.
We've made each ID broad. The idea is that there's always somewhere to put your thing. Close enough is good enough.

What software do I need?
The system works with whatever you already use. You'll need an app to manage your JDex β I recommend Obsidian but you can use any app that either lets you keep a list of notes, or is a database. People use and enjoy Bear, NotePlan, DEVONThink, Notion, Craft, Emacs, and more. Please don't use OneNote, it's β¦ just no.
Where is my data stored?
Wherever it is today: I never touch your data. What I give you is structure and process. If your data is on your iCloud Drive today, that's where it stays.
What happens after I buy?
If you're not signed in, you'll receive an email after your payment is
processed. It comes from hello@johnnydecimal.com and has a
link to create your account. Click that, set a password, and you're in.
